Sounds something strange, if you have only heard about Uttar Pradesh or United Kingdom means Britain to you then my dear friend welcome to United Kingdom of Uttar Pradesh. Now from the time you are reading these lines you will start calling U.P., United Kingdom of Uttar Pradesh. What, you are asking why? So please read carefully, following lines will prove my point in a strong manner.
Have you ever heard about Saifai Mahotsava? If not then I am telling you. Saifai is home town of Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav Ex. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. During his regime he gifted this mahotsava (fair) to his home town but the money came from exchequer’s pocket.
It is said that Lucknow was established by Ram’s brother named Lakshman and the name of this city was “Lakhan puri” means city of Lakshman. Please hire an auto rickshaw today and take a trip of the city, you will be forced to name this city as “Ambedkarpuri” or “Dalitpuri” or most suitable “Mayapuri”, as there are number of statues and monuments constructed by BSP government in the state and again the money came from the pocket of public.
There was a proposal to build an underground parking at Hazratganj market at the heart of the city. This might have solved the problem of chaos created daily at this eminent market. But the proposal was thrashed by the government on the grounds that there were no funds, on the other hand a mega budget parking was built at “Ramabai Ambedkar Raili Sthal”, a place developed to organize huge rallies and again the money came from the taxes paid by people, the tax we pay from our income for development of state, for social reforms and for necessary amenities.
During this year when farmers of state are hit hard by the drought, our state government blamed center for not providing financial aides to the state and notably there is a case in Supreme Court against U.P. government to stop work at multi crore Ambedkar park project. And the really funny fact is that this park was built by Mayawati in her last regime and this time she has flowed crores in demolishing and restructuring the park and the reason told that she wants it to be stronger that it will last long. Shahjahan built Tajmahal ones and it is standing till the day but Mayawati is bigger emperor than that poor guy. (As he was not in politics and lacks the knowledge but the sad thing on my part is that she has no son who will put her behind the bars on the banks of Gomati and let her die watching the park).
These are only some simple examples which costed millions of rupees to the state. Every chief minister thinks he/she is the king/queen of this state. There are only rights for them and no liability towards public. These are the people if asked they will not spare a single penny to feed a poor child but the money of public is just like their “Baap Ka paisa”.
Now you might have understood why I call my state United Kingdom of Uttar Pradesh.If you agree with my opinion please start calling U.P., United Kingdom of Uttar Pradesh and next time please vote to an independent but honest and poor leader in spite of voting to a party member who spends a lot of money in elections and after sucks the public’s blood for five years.
